Quick and healthy Red Beans and Rice

Ingredients
1 Tblsp Olive Oil1 1/2 cans tomato sauce4 1/2 cups water, divided1/2 tsp dried oregano1/2 tsp dried basil1 pinch dried thymesalt and pepper to taste1 tablespoon Chili Powder1 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp cumin2 Cups Whole Grain Rice (I use Uncle Ben's in the microwavable bag for convenience)2 tblsp Brown Sugar or substitute
Directions
1.In a large saucepan combine olive oil, kidney beans, tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water, oregano, basil,thyme, salt, pepper, Chili Powder, Garlic Powder, Cumin, Thyme, and Brown Sugar. Simmer on low heat.
2. Stir in 1 microwavable package of Uncle Bens Whole Grain Ready Rice
