Ingredients
1/2 Cup Smart Balances Butter1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour1 Cup Sugar1 Egg1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda1/4 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar2 Tablespoon Sugar1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Directions
In a mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 second. Add about half of the flour, the 1 cup sugar, the egg, vanilla, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Beat till thoroughly combined. Beat in remaining flour. Cover and chill 1 hour.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Combine the 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon. Roll balls in sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 oven for 10 to 11 minutes or till edges are golden. Cool cookies on a wire rack. Makes about 36.

    I love snickerdoodles though I've not tried a lower fat/carb version. I'll let ya know how it comes out. One hint: always let the butter/marg come to room temp. Never melt it, won't come out right. - 10/28/09

    After some consideration, I realized that this nutrition information is very incorrect. It only incorporates sugar, not the other ingredients. When I entered it into my nutrition tracker, at 24 cookies per recipe (like I made) it was 82 cal, 15 carb, 1.7 fat. Still pretty good though! - 3/16/09

    They taste exactly like snickerdoodles even though low cal. If you put in splenda for the sugar it is even lower - 2/24/09
