4 cup Flour, white1 tsp Baking Powder 1/4 tsp Baking Soda 1/2 tsp Salt1 1/3 cup Butter1 cup Brown Sugar, packed1/3 cup Granulated Sugar2 large Eggs, well beaten 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract2 oz unsweetened chocolate melted
*Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and set aside.
*In mixing bowl-beat butter until fluffy ... add sugars gradually beat until light. add well beaten eggs and vanilla.
*Add dry ingredients and blend thoroughly.
*Divide dough in half ... to one half mix the melted unsweetened chocolate until well mixed.
*Cut each section in half ... roll as thin as possible. place one choc and one plain together (one on top of the other) and roll jelly roll fashion. *Chill several hours or over night.
*With a sharp knife cut cookie dough into 1/8-1/4 slices and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 5 - 8 minutes in 400 degree oven.
Makes 80-100 cookies (depending on thickness)
