Crock-Pot Hearty Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
Cub Foods Green Split Peas (Dry), 2.5 cup (16 oz)Ham, extra lean, (5% fat), 2 cup, diced Carrots, raw, 2 cup, chopped Brocolli, Raw, 1 cup, chopped finely Cauliflower, raw, 1 cup, chopped finelyOnions, raw, 1 cup, chopped Celery, raw, 1 cup, chopped finelyPotato, raw, 2 cup diced Garlic, 2 clove, mincedBay Leaf, 2 tbsp, crumbled (or 2 whole bay leaves)Salt, .5 tsp Pepper, black, .5 tsp Water, tap, 5 cup
Directions
1. Layer the ingredients in slow cooker in order listed.
2. Cover. Cook on high 4-5 hours.
3. To thicken, remove 4 cups of soup and puree in blender.
4. Return to soup. Stir.
5. Discard bay leaves before serving.

*** I added the brocolli, cauliflower, and potatoes to the recipe to "hide" additional daily veggies. These are optional.
