Beth's navy bean soup

Ingredients
32 oz. great northern beans12 cups watersalt to taste2 cups diced extra lean ham1 large onion cut into medium size chunks
Directions
put all ingredients in crock pot and turn on, I like to set my crockpot for 10 hours so it can cook all day while I am at work and be ready for dinner but you can cook it on fast speed for about 4 hours or on your stove until beans are tender.
Serve with green onions to munch on.
