Pumpkin Cocoa Brownies

Ingredients
1/8 cup packed brown sugar1/8 cup splenda3/4 cup canned pumpkin1 egg white1 tbs apple butter3 tbs flax1 cup all-purpose wheat flour1 teaspoon baking powder¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon ground allspice1/4 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate piecesNonstick spray coating
Directions

In a large mixing bowl combine brown sugar, pumpkin, egg white.
Mix flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and nutmeg in another bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet. Add enough hot water to form dough. Stir in semisweet chocolate pieces.

Spray an 8”x8” baking pan with nonstick coating. Pour batter into pan; spread
evenly. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until a wooden toothpick
inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into 2-inch
squares. Makes 8 servings.
