Mo's Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

Directions
Red skinned potatoes, buttermilk, bacon bits, salt.
Scrub potatoes, and place in saucepan. Fill saucepan with water to cover potatoes and cook potatoes until tender (a knife inserted breaks the potato apart), about 20 minutes. Add buttermilk and mash until smooth. Buttermilk may be adjusted for a smoother or chunkier consistency. Add cheese and bacon bits and stir until blended. Salt and pepper to taste if desired.
