Spicey Chicken Sausage, Red Lentils and Kale

Carrots, raw, .5 cup, choppedCelery, raw, .5 cup, dicedOnions, raw, .5 cup, choppedGreen Chile, seeded and chopped Spicy Chicken Sausage, 2 linksRed/Pink Lentils, 1.5 cup washed and sortedChicken Broth, 3 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap, 4 cup (8 fl oz)
Cut sausage up into bite size pieces. Brown sausage in stock pot. Once sausage is browned, remove from pan. Add celery, carrots, onion and chilies in pan and add about a 1/4 cup of broth to deglaze pan. Saute vegis until soft. Add rest of broth, water and lentils to pot. Stir. Add kale. Liquid should just cover the ingredients. Add more water or broth if it does not. Cover and cook until lentils are soft. Keep an eye the liquid, add more if required.
