Brownies (with dates & apple)

1 cup whole wheat flour (pastry)1 teaspoon baking powder1/4 cup cocoa powder1/3 cup canola oil1/4 cup honey1/4 cup Egg Beater (egg substitute)2 tablespoons water1 1/2 cup chopped dates1 medium apple (chopped or grated)1/4 cup walnuts chopped
1. Mix together flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder;
2. In separate bowl, beat together oil, honey, egg beater;
3. Stir dry mixture and liquid mixture and beat enough too blend. Add dates and apple.
3. Spread in oiled 8x8 baking pan; sprinkle with nuts and press nuts in place. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, or until firm. Cool slightly and cut into squares
