Crockpot French Onion Soup

Ingredients
3 large onions, thinly sliced 1/4 cup butter 4 cups beef broth 1 teaspoon Worcestershire 1/4 teaspoon salt 4-5 slices French bread, toasted 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded
Directions
In slow cooker, combine onions and butter, broth, Worcestershire and salt. Cover and cook on HIGH 4-6 hours. Divide hot soup among 4 bowls and top with 1 slice of toasted bread and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of cheese each.

    Not bad. I used half the recommended amount of butter, and used 1 can of chicken broth and 1 can of beef broth, and added a bayleaf for flavor. It turned out well. - 1/22/09
