3 pounds rump or sirloin tip roast1 cup beef broth1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup6 ounces heavy beer (e.g., Guiness)2 TSP garlic2TSP kitchen bouquet or Worcestershire saucedash black pepper
1. Trim excess fat from the rump roast, and place in a slow cooker. Add the beef broth, onion soup and beer. Cook on Low setting for 7 hours.
2. Slice the meat on the diagonal, return to juice and let sit for a while.
3. Serve on rolls with sauce for dipping or eat plain, as desired.
If you let it cool, you will be able to skim quite a bit of fat off the top as well.
