Split Pea Soup w/ Ham WW

Ingredients
1 lb split peas, rinsed, soaked and drained4 tsp veg. oil2 carrots, chopped1 large onion, chopped1 celery stalk, chopped1 (32) reduced sodium chicken broth1 c. water1/4 lb lean ham, cut into matchstick-size pcsFreshly ground pepper
Directions
Soak peas overnight. Rinse, set aside. Saute carrots, noion and celery for 5 min. Add peas, broth, water, ham and pepper. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered for about 1 hour. Serve.
