Ok I am not a picky eater and I am usually a good cook. I've never had sauerbratten before so it is possible that I messed up somewhere, but I really didn't like this dish. Vinegar flavored beef just isn't my favorite apparently. However, my super picky 6 year old who hates everything loved it! - 3/14/11

My husband LOVES sauerbratten and years ago I made it for him. It was very labor intensive and took days of marinating. In comparison this recipe was easy, lower fat, and tasted great! Will definitely do this again. - 9/5/10

Will have to try this recipe, lot less complicated than mine and less marinade time. But will serve with potato dumplings. - 9/3/09

My husband is German. This is one of the best meals I learned to make for him. Of course he has to have potatoes instead of pasta. So he gets them boiled with the skins. - 2/17/09
