Mexicali Meat Loaf

1 lb extra lean ground beef1/2 lb lean ground turkey3/4 cup salsa3/4 cup dpft bread crumbs1 cup chopped onions1/2 cup whole kernel corn1 egg, slightly beaten2 garlic cloves, minced1 1/2 tsp chili powder1/2 tsp ground cumin1/4 tsp black pepper1/8 tsp salt1/4 cup tomato sauce1 Tbls ketchup1 tsp sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine beef, turkey, salsa, bread crumbs, onion, corn, egg, garlic, chili powder, pepper, and salt. Mix well. Form into a loaf. Place in a 9x5 non-stick loaf pan.
In a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce, ketchup and sugar. Spread over the top of the meatloaf. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour, or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees. Uncover and bake for 5 minutes, or until the top browns slightly. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
