Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients
2/3 C sugar1/3 C soft shortening2 eggs3T sour or butter milk1 C mashed bananas2C flour1t baking powder1/2 t baking soda1/2 t salt1/2 C walnuts
Directions
Mix thoroughly 2/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup softened shortening, 2 eggs
Stir in 3Tbs sour or butter milk and 1 cupn mashed bananas
Sift together and stir in 2 C flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt.
Blend in 1/2 cup of nut meats, chopped.
Pour into well greased loaf pan. Let stand 20 minutes.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
