Pizza Soup

Ingredients
With turkey pepperoni, calories come to 285 per serving. 16 gm protein
Directions
Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute until translucent. Add pepperoni and stir-fry until lightly browned. Add pizza sauce, canned tomatoes with their juices, frozen bell peppers (unthawed), beef broth, mushrooms, oregano and basil. Bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes.

Reduce heat and stir in romano or parmesan cheese.

Makes 6 servings.

Note: If you want a spicier soup, buy the spicy pepperoni or add a pinch of cayenne pepper. I will use turkey pepperoni which will cut the fat and calories in this recipe.
