Apple Bread

Ingredients
2 1/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder1/2 tsp Kosher salt`/1 tsp Nutmeg, ground1 cup Sugar1 tsp Lemon Peel, grated 1 cup Apples, chopped fine1/4 cup Walnuts, chopped 2 Large White Eggs1/2 cup Butter, unsalted1/2 cup Milk, 2%Strussel ToppingButter, unsalted, 1 tbsp (remove)Flour, whole grain, .125 cup (remove)Granulated Sugar, .25 cup (remove)
Directions
Preheat oven @ 350 degrees

Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and sugar in a large bowl. Stir in lemon peel, chopped apple and nuts. In a seperate bowl, beat eggs. Add melted butter and milk. Add to dry ingredients, stir lightly until flour is moistioned. Turn into well greased loaf pan.

Strussel Topping

cut together until it resembles corn meal. Sprinkle on top of bread mixture.

Bake for about 1 hour. Serves 10
