"Mexican Night" Brown Rice

2 cups Instant Brown Rice, dry1 1/2 c water1 can petite diced tomato (14.5oz) Drained1 can Pinto Beans (14.5oz) Drained3 garlic cloves, crushed1 tsp sugarsalt & pepper to tastered pepper flakes to taste
1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Stir in rice, return to a boil. Boil 1 minute.
3. Add garlic, beans, and tomatoes, cover and simmer 5-7 minutes.
4. Stir in sugar, add red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to taste.
5. Cover and simmer (low heat!) 5 more minutes.
6. Remove from heat, let rest 5 minutes, stir and serve.
