Oatmeal & Applesauce Muffins

Ingredients
Dry Ingredients1-1/2 cups old fashioned, large flake oats1-1/4 cups flour1 tsp baking powder3/4 tsp baking soda3/4 tsp cinnamonMix dry ingredients together and set aside.Wet Ingredients1/2 cup milk1 cup applesauce (unsweetened)1/2 cup brown sugar3 tbsp canola oil1 egg whiteCombine in a separate bowl.Topping1/2 cup oats1 tbsp brown sugar1/4 tsp cinnamon2 tbsp melted buttercombine in small dish and set aside.
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Grease muffin tin (NOTE: Do not use liners...they stick!)

Mix together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl mix together wet items. In a small dish combine topping ingredients.

Combine wet and dry ingredients in the larger of the two bowls. Mix well until moist.

Pour into muffin tin in 12 equal portions.
Sprinkle with topping.
Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into centre comes out clear.
