Garbanzo Spread

Ingredients
1 small onion, or 1/2 medium, chopped1 clove garlic (or 3)1 tbsp oil (olive oil)dash cuminsalt to taste (or not)1 tsp basil1/2 tsp oreganojuice of 1 lemon3 cups cooked garbanzo beans, mashed
Directions
Saute onion and garlic in oil until onion is transparent. Add cumin and cook until fragrant. Crush garlic with a fork. Add herbs. Mix with the lemon and mashed beans. Stir together thoroughly. Makes about 3 cups, or 6 1/2-cup servings.
