White Wine and Rosemary Marinara

14.5 oz can of Diced Tomatoes (seasoned with garlic and basil OR plain)6 oz can of tomato paste1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil1/2 cup white cooking wine1/2 cup water1/2 cup red onions2 cloves garlic1 tsp sugar1 tsp rosemary1 tsp basil1/2 tsp chili powderPinch of thymeSalt and Pepper to taste
Sauté garlic and onions in olive oil. Slowly add diced tomatoes, tomato paste and stir. Add white wine. If marinara is too thick, slowly add water until desired thickness. Finally add sugar, rosemary, basil, chili powder, thyme, salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer for 20 minutes.
Please note: If you use a can of diced tomatoes seasoned with garlic and basil, omit the tsp. of basil and only add one clove of garlic.
