Basic Cornbread

Ingredients

1/3 Cup Butter2 Cups Cormeal Mix, white or yellow3/4 cup all pupose flour1 Tbs sugar2 1/4 cups buttermilk2 large eggs
Best in 10 inch iron skillet, but baking dish is fine too.
Pre-heat oven to 425.
Place skillet in oven with a pat of butter in the bottom until melted.
Mix dry ingredients and butter in a large bowl.
Stir together wet ingredients and add to dry stir just until mixed, do not over stir.
Remove skillet from oven and pour batter over melted butter.
Bake at 425 for 20 to 25 mins or until sides are golden brown and pull from edge of pan.
Slice like a pie into 8 servings.
