Ingredients
Directions
Sweet potato, cooked, baked in skin, without salt, 4 medium (2" dia, 5" long, raw)*Pork Chops (pork loin), roasted, 18 oz Apples, fresh, 4 medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per l*Smucker's - No Sugar Added - Orange Spread, 1 tbsp
Cut and peel the sweet potatoes. Put them in the bottom of the crock pot with diced apples. Place 6 3 oz pork loin or chop slices on top. Spread sugar free orange spread or orange marmalade on top of pork (I usually just use the whole jar). I add about 3/4 cup of water to keep mine moist while cooking, but my cooker gets hotter than most and will burn the food if I leave it all day without a lot of water. You can play around with it and adjust the amount of water according to how hot your slow cooker gets and how long you plan to leave it. I also have to admit to being a salt craver, so I add a bit of salt to my sweet potatoes. You may have spices that work better. Of course, other members of my family pour on the butter and brown sugar as well, but we know better than that!
