Homeade Grape-Nuts

Ingredients
One egg1 cup rolled oats (Old fashioned)2 tsp baking soda1/2 cup apple sauce no sugar added type1 tsp maple flavoring3 cups whole grain flour1/2 tsp salt1 tsp cream of tartar2 cups apple juice
Directions
Mix all ingredients. Bake in 8" x 12" greased pan at 350 degrees (I use cooking spray) bake for 35 minutes. Allow to cool, crumble and put on cookie sheets in thin layer. Stir occasionally l and mash with fork during baking to make crumbs finer. Bake in 250 degree F. oven until dry and crunchy. Crack oven door open with wooden spoon in top edge of even door to allow steam to escape. ;May be storede at room temperature up to a week.
