Stovetop Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients
4 cups dry elbow macaroni1/4 cup butter1/4 cup all-purpose flour1/2 tsp saltpinch pepper2 cups milk2 cups shredded cheesepaprika, optional
Directions
Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper if desired, cook until bubbly. Gradually add milk, cook and stir until thickened, Stir in cheese until melted. Drain macaroni, add to cheese sauce and stir to coat. Sprinkle with paprika if desired.
