Ingredients
4 cups mashed potatoes300 grams minced beef1/2 cup chopped onions1/2 cup chopped carrots1/3 cup frozen peas1 clove garlic chopped2 tbs chopped parsley1/4 corn starch1 cup beef stocksalt and pepper to taste1 tbs olive oil
Directions
1. heat the oil in a larg frying pan, brown the meat.
2. add the carrots, onion, peas and garlic. stirr together and season with salt and pepper.
3. add the beef stock to the pan. in a small bowl put the corn stach and enough hot water to desolve it then add slowly to the pan to thicken the sauce.
4. cook 10 minutes or until vegtables soften and fluid is thickened. stirring occasionally, add the parsley.
5. put the beef mix into an oven proof dish, top with mashed potatoes. broil in the oven until top is golden brown.

    this was very good. I made it not quite to recipe specs and added quite a bit more veg to it. In addition to the carrots, peas, onion, I added a red bell pepper, celery and doubled the carrots. It was a very nice bulky meal and filled us all up! :) My British husband even liked it. - 9/3/12
