orange-date dessert bars

Ingredients
2 cups almonds1 cup oat flour1 tsp cinnamon4 Tablespoons Maple Syrup or honey2 cups pitted, quartered dates (soaked 30 minutes in juice)Juice of 1 large orangezest of one large orange
Directions
For Crust: place nuts in food processor and process until coarsely ground. Add oat flour and pulse. Add cinnamon and maple syrup, slowly until it holds together. Press 1/2 of the crust into 8 inch square pan. Reserve other half.

Filling: Soak dates, water, and orange juice for 30-60 mintues. Process dates, soak water and zest until smooth. Spread on top of crust. Sprinkle remaining crust on top of date mixture. Press down to compress.

Place in sun for several hours. Or in warm oven for 10-15 minutes.
