Ground Beef Pita Filling

Ingredients
12 oz. lean ground beef1 small onion, chopped1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/2 tsp. dry oregano1/2 tsp. dry basil6 oz. can tomato paste3 C. frozen vegetables, Classic blendabout 2 cans of water
Directions
Brown beef and onion. If lean you should not need to drain. If not lean, drain. Add spices, and tomato paste. Mix well. Add 1 can of water, and vegetables, mix well. Add the rest of the water, mix well, and cook on low heat for about 30-45 minutes, until everything is heated through.
(instead of oregano and basil, you can use Italian seasoning)

This makes a great filling for pita bread.
The recipes makes about 8 servings each being 1/2 C.
