Ingredients
3 Tbs. soy sauce3 Tbs Honey3 Tbs. Dry Sherry4 pork chops - trimmed4 tsp whole grain or brown mustard1 large and firm pear, cored and thinly sliced1 large potato - cut into large chunks1 yam peeled and cut into large chunks2 large carrots peeled and cut into large chunks2 parsnips peeled and cut into large chunks1 large onion, chopped2 Tbs of your favorite fresh herb such as rosemary, thyme, basil, lavendar, or sage.
Directions
Makes 4 servings

When cutting the vegetables into chunks, try to make the chunks fairly even in size so that the veggie mixture becomes fairly homogenous in its size and appearance. Place all the vegetable chunks and onion pieces in a steamer basket together. Toss the veggies so they are mixed up and the smaller onion pieces are mixed throughout.

Set Pork on top of veggies and sprinkle herbs on top.

Place pear slices on top of the pork so that they fan across the pork and then whisk together all the "wet" ingredients and drizzle the sauce over the top of the entire concotion.

Turn on water under steamer to boil, cover and let steam for 20-30 minutes. The time required will depend upon the thickness of the pork pieces. Thinner pieces (which tend to be closer to 3 oz servings) will cook faster than the 30 minutes listed.
