Italian Lemon Cookies

Ingredients
Ingredients:¾ cup Crisco¾ cup sugar3 eggspinch of salt1 tsp. Lemon extract1 tsp. Vanilla extract¼ cup milk, room temperature2 cups flour1 Tbsp. Plus 1 tsp. Baking powderButter Cream Vanilla Frosting¼ c. butter or margarine½ tsp. Salt2 tsp. Lemon Extract3 c. confectioner’s sugar¼ c. half and half
Directions
Beat together Crisco and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add remaining ingredients, until well mixed. Cover and put in Freezer about ½ hour. Dip hands in flour when working with dough, tends to be sticky. Make small balls. Put on ungreased cookie sheets. Be sure to space them well. They tend to spread. Bake 375 for 10 minutes. Yields about 6 3/4 dozen cookies

Frosting instructions.
Combine butter or margarine, salt, vanilla, and 1 cup sugar. Add milk and remaining sugar alternately; mix until smooth and creamy. Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin if needed for good spreading consistency.

Also you may tint frosting with food color. Pink, yellow, green, great for Easter, wedding showers etc.

Spread frosting on top of cookies while they are still warm.
