Easy Barbecured Chicken (slow cooker)

Ingredients
6 boneless Chicken Breasts2 Medium Onions, Chopped1 C. Ketchup1/4 C. Butter or margarine, melted1/4 C. firmly packed light brown sugar2 Tbsp. cider vinegar2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce1 Tbsp. prepared mustard1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions
Place chicken in a 5 -qt. slow cooker: top with onion.
Wish together Ketchup and remaining ingredients; pour over chicken and onions. Cover and cook on HIGH 1 hour. REduce heat to LOW and cook 7 hours. Remove chicken and shred. Return to sauce, mix and serve.

Cooking time will depend on your slow cooker. I have also timed it as 1 hour on high and 3 1/5 hours on low.

Can serve on sandwich buns.
Accompany with:
Sweet Potato French Fries
Poppy Seed Cole Slaw
or your other favorites

    I made this for supper tonight, my husband & I loved it but the kids weren't too fond of the sauce. Used wine vinegar since I didn't have cider & it turned out awesome. Onions ended up tasting like they were caramelized. I think I'll try this recipe again but with pork next time :) - 9/4/12
