Cinnamon Pear Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients
1 (15 ounce) can pear halves2 cups vanilla yogurt1/3 cup white sugar1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon ground allspice1-2 oz rum or vodka
Directions
Drain pears, reserving 1/2 c of juice. Puree in blender or food processor. Combine pureed pears, 1/2 c juice, yogurt, sugar, cinnamon and allspice and pour into mixer of ice cream maker. Prepare according to manufacturer's directions, adding rum in last 2 minutes.

NOTE: Alcohol is added strictly to prevent this frozen yogurt from freezing too hard in the freezer. Otherwise, this recipe is likely to become rock solid. If you are eating it immediately, there is no need to add the alcohol.
