Citrus Ginger Tea
- Minutes to Prepare:
- Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients
Directions
One lime, small lemon and small orange, juicedFresh ginger root - gratedBoiling water no-cal sweetener
Roll the citrus on the counter to soften, cut in half and ream out juice ( a little pulp is ok)
Grate the fresh ginger root: I like to use a microplane.
Divide citrus juice, pulp and ginger into two large mugs.
Fill mugs with boiling water and allow to steep.
Add sweetener to taste preference.
Increase or decrease the amounts of citrus and ginger according to individual taste. I find I use more ginger in the cooler temps to warm me up.
Ginger tea is very low in calories and the thermogenic properties can enhance weight loss. You can also make this ahead and refrigerate for a refreshing cold drink.
