Ingredients
1/2 cup Wheat berries1/2 cup Whole or steel cut oats1/2 cup Pearled barley1/2 cup Buckwheat4 cups Skim Milk4 cups water
Directions
Measure one half cup of the grains into a crock pot and add the liquid, stirring to make sure the liquid covers all the grains. Cover, set crock pot to low and enjoy hot cereal in the morning when you wake up!

This recipe is for a large crock pot, but you can make your own by following the simple ratio of 4 to 1 liquid to grains. The consistency of the cereal depends on the heat of your crock and the amount of time cooked, so expect to try a couple of times to get the cereal you want.

Note: these are just a sampling of grains that can be used; I've used millet, wild rice, brown rice, faro, spelt. The list is truly up to your imagination.

Great porridge. Like the variety of grains in it and I like it better then just steel cut oats alone. I usually use just water to cook it. Made when I have had company and they liked it too. Left overs heat up well. update: used barley. wild rice, steel cut oats, wheat berry, farro, freekah! Love! - 8/16/16

This was really good. I added a handful of raisins, some FF milk and some Stevia and it was perfect. A nice change from regular oatmeal and so easy to make. - 10/7/10
