Simple Banana Bread

1cup sugar6tbsp margarine (1 stick)3 ripe mashed bananas2 eggs beaten1tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt2 cups flourpinch of sugar (optional)
Cream sugar and margarine. Add rest of ingredients, blending in flour last. Pour into bread pan. If desired, sprinkle a small amount of sugar on top. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 1hour. Makes 12 one inch slices.
