Steak & Potato Skillet

Ingredients
2 beef cube steaks, 4 oz each1 can of cream of mushroom soup2 red potatoes, sliced with skin on1 carrot choppedonion, garlic powder, salt & pepper to taste1 c water2 tbsp butter1 tbsp flour
Directions
Brown steaks in butter. Remove from skillet. Add flour to make a roux. Add water and mushroom soup -- mix until smooth. Add all remaining ingredients to skillet -- bring to simmering boil, reduce heat to med low and cook until done.

    I omitted the carrot, becuase the DH hates them, and it was still yummy! The steak was really tough, but i think thats due to the cut i bought, not the recipe. I'll be making this again when i'm craving chicken fried steak and country gravy! - 7/12/09
