Indian Toffree

Ingredients
2 cups sugar1 cup water1 1/4 powdered milk1 tb blanched almonds
Directions
Put sugar and water into plan.
Place over medium heat.
Bring syrup to boil. Boui until sugar starts to crystallize around edges of pan, about 20 minutes.
Put teaspoon onto a plate. When cool, test to see if it will form threads between thumb and forefinger.
Add milk and stsir quickly so it does not burn or go into lumps.
Cook for 3-5 minutes, constantly stirring until mixture starts drying on back of spoon.
Quickly pour onto greased baking sheet. Press it evenly over sheet with back of spoon.
Sprinkle almonds on top. Cool until set and then cut into 24 squares.
