Crockpot Mabo Dofu (Mapo Tofu) - Not Spicy

Ingredients
9 oz. Beef Tenderloin1 block Tofu (12 oz.) (Cubed)Sauce:1 c. vegetable broth (or beef/chicken/pork)2 tbs. sake (or white cooking wine)1 tbs. Red Miso1/2 tsp. sugar1 c. water (optional)Cornstarch (to thicken optional and not included in nutrition information.)Saute:2 tsp. minced garlic1 tsp. minced ginger1 tsp. sesame oil1 c. chopped onion
Directions
1. Saute garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and onion in crockpot.

2. While onion mixture is cooking, broil beef tenderloin at 500 degrees to remove excess fat.

3. Mix sauce ingredients together and add to sauting items.

4. When beef is fully cooked, remove from oven and thinly slice. Add to crockpot along with the tofu. Stir gently to avoid breaking the tofu.

5. Cooking time, temperature, and additional water will varry. This could be cooked on the stove without the additional water and served immediately. The longer it is cooked the more flavorful the tofu will be.

6. Serve with steamed rice and top with 1/4 c. sliced green onion. Enjoy! :D
