Fried Okra and new potatoes

Ingredients
1 lb of fresh okra(about 16 pods)4 to 5 medium size red(new) potatoesplain cornmealsalt and pepper to tastecanola or vegetable oil
Directions
wash and cut okra and potatoes into 1" to 1.5" pieces. Mix together with cornmeal, salt, and pepper. I use a ziplock gallon size bag. Heat oil in skillet. Place about 1/3 of okra and potatoes in hot oil and cook until light to golden brown and repeat. Place cooked on papertowels to soak up the oil and serve hot. Makes 5-6 1 cup servings. Great with meatloaf and salad for a complete meal. Or by itself for that matter. Enjoy.
