Asparagus and Green Bean Salad with Pesto Dressing

Ingredients
1 lb. asparagus, trimmed1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed1/2 c. fresh basil1/2 c. fresh Italian parsleyzest and juice of one lemon1/3 c. olive oil1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Steam the green beans for about 4 minutes. Add the asparagus and continue to steam for another minute or two, then blanch in cold water until cooled. In a blender, blend the basil, parsley, lemon zest and juice, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil. Toss the vegetables with the dressing and serve. Makes 8 side dish servings.
