Lemon Pound Cake

1 cup butter, melted2 tbsp lemon zest1 1/4 cups sugar4 eggs1 tsp vanilla2 tsp lemon juice1 1/2 cups flour1 tsp baking powder1/2 cup sugar1/3 cup lemon juice
Mix melted butter with eggs, sugar, lemon zest and juice.
Combine flour and powder. Add to butter and eggs. Stir until smooth.
Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake for about 60 min. at 325 degrees fahrenheit.
Combine sugar and juice to make glaze. Poke warm cake all over and pour glaze over. Let stand until cool.
Makes 1 loaf cake or about 12 slices.
