I'm so sorry, I must have missed an ingredient. I hope your recipe turned out anyway. The amount is 4T with 1T going into the meatballs and 3T added to the sauce mixture.

There is not enough liquid in the recipe. I found it necessary to add about one cup of water after it had cooked about 90 minutes. I also added a bag of frozen stir-fry vegetables along with the pineapple. Splenda works just fine in place of the sugar and rice vinegar substituted for the white. - 1/30/14

I made these the other night. Used the exact ingredients/measurements but there was practically no liquid in my crockpot. I threw in the pineapple with the juice from the can, took it out of the crockpot and put it in the oven and cooked. It was GREAT. Everyone loved it. - 9/10/09

Couldn't find minced turkey so used chicken and worked just as well. Has a lot of sugar though which is just a bad as fat, but I am going to experiment with splenda or sugar replacement next time and see how it goes.

I sure must have done something wrong, followed the recipe exactly but substituted Splenda for the sugar. The meatballs were dry as dust, there was no sauce, it started to burn and stick to the pot, and when I stirred in the pineapple things fell apart. Flavour would have been good. Disappointing - 8/8/15
