Apple Sauce Cake

2 cups sugar1 cup butter3 eggs2 tsp cinnamon1 tsp cloves2 tsp allspice2 tsp nutmeg2 cup applesauce, unsweetened3 1/2 cups flour2 tsp salt2 tsp baking soda2 tsp baking powder2 cups chopped walnuts (optional, included in nutritional info)2 cups raisins (optional, not included in nutritional info)
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and continue beating.
Combine all dry ingredients in separate bowl.
Alternate adding dry ingredients and applesauce to creamed sugar/butter/egg mixture, until completely combined. Add walnuts (raisins).
Bake in a greased, floured, tube pan at 325 degrees for about 1 hour. Let pan set for 5 minutes, then remove cake from pan to cool.
