Runza Casserole

Ingredients
2 lbs. 93% lean beef4 cups chopped cabbage1 cup shredded Monterey Jack and Colby Cheese2 tubes Great Value reduced fat crescent rolls1 medium onionSalt and Pepper to taste
Directions
Brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion. Drain. Add the cabbage, cover, and steam. Add salt and pepper.

Use one tube of crescent rolls to form crust in a greased 9x13 pan. Pinch seams to do so. Place beef mixture over crust. Add cheese. Use second tube of rolls to form top crust. Pinch seams to do so again. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for additional 10 minutes to soften crust.

    This was very good as is. I used coleslaw mix with red and white cabbage and carrots. Everyone in our family like it. We love Runzas but it takes so much time. A few people added some ketchup on top. You can also add mushrooms and Swiss cheese instead for a little variation. - 6/27/13
