# Organic Basmati Rice by Trader Joe's, 2 cup Butter - Ghee, 6 tsp Onions, raw, .25 cup, chopped Garam Masala, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp Curry Leaves (leaves from 1 long spring), A Taste of Thai Lite Coconut Milk, .25 coconut flakes unsweetened, 4 tbsp Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz) Coriander, ground, 1 tsp Shrimp, cooked, 16 oz
Soak rice until starch makes water milky, then drain.
Melt the ghee in a large, deep frying pan. Add the curry leaves, garam masala, coriander, turmeric, onion, and salt. Stir until onions are soft. Add the rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Add the coconut and coconut milk, stirring to combine. Stir in the cooked shrimp. Put lid on pan, and cook on low for 20 min, until rice is done.
