Portabella Mushroom "Burger"

1/3 cup Olive Oil1 medium size Onion, cut into 6 slices6 large Portabella Mushroom caps1/3 cup chopped Fresh Basil2 tbsp. Dijon mustard1 tsp. Lemon Juice1/2 tsp. Black Pepper3 cloves Garlic, chopped6 Romaine Lettuce Leaves6 medium Tomato slices
Prepare outdoor grill or indoor grill pan.
Whisk together oil and garlic, brush on both sides of onion and mushrooms.
Grill onions and mushrooms, covered with grill lid over medium heat (350-400 degrees) for 4 minutes on each side or until tender.
Mix together basil, dijon mustard, lemon juice, pepper and spread over mushroom caps. Serve on whole wheat bun (not included in calories) or eat as-is with romaine lettuce leaf!

I broiled this on my oven rack. I had to do a variation because i didnt have all the ingredients. I didnt put it on a bun either
the idea of replaceing a burger with this is terrific
great meal if you have already spent too many calories on breakfast and lunch.. since i didnt have a bun i added - 11/21/08
