Caramel topping for sliced apples

Ingredients
1 1/4 c. light brown sugar2/3 c. light corn syrup2/3 c. whipping cream1/2 stick unsalted butter1/8 tsp salt
Directions
Combine ingredients in medium saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves (approx 4 minutes). Increase heat to medium, boil without stirring until mixture reaches 238 degrees F (softball stage) approx. 11 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
