Ingredients
Cabbage shredded 6 cups1.5 # ground lean beef8 oz hot pork sausage1 large onion fennel seed crushedoragano or basilsalt peppercanola oil1 jar spaghetti sauce plain 1 can progresso hearty tomato soup1.5 cups dry short grain brown rice1 can beef broth2 cups water3 cloves garlic diced
Directions
place oil in pan, cook onion about 4 minutes, add broth and half the water add rice. Cook until all liquid is absorbed. then add browned and drained meat with oregano and fennell added. Place a layer of sauce in casserole dish, then a layer of cabbage, then a layer of the rice meat mixture. repeat ending with the can of tomatoe soup and 1 cup water. cover with foil and bake 1 hour in 350 degree oven.
