curried chick peas

Ingredients
4 cups chick peas1 cup onion chopped4 cloves of garlic choppedpackage spinach defrosted1/2 pound frozen peas2 tsp grated ginger2 tsp cumin1 tsp coriander1 tsp turmeric2 tsp salt1/2 tsp cayenne1 tbsp olive oil2 cups water
Directions
soak and cook chick peas until tender.
saute onion and garlic in oil until slightly browned.
add spices and chick peas.
add water.
medium flame.
add spinach and peas.
cover and simmer 15 minutes.

    This was good. I added some sun dried tomatoes and a few other spices I had in the cupboard. It was even better with some fresh lemon juice added at the end. I would make it again. - 3/30/11
