brown and wild rice side dish

Ingredients
1 cup brown rice1/2 cup wild rice1 14 oz canchicken broth (2 cups)1 cup water1 tablespoon butter, optional1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds1/2 cup chopped onions1 4oz can mushrooms chopped2 cloves garlic chopped finelycooking spray
Directions
mix bown and wild rice in med. saucepan. add two cups broth and 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon butter. bring to boil. trun down and simmer till tender 45 min.
toast almond in smal fry pan till browned, remove, spray pan and add chopped onions, mushrooms and garlic cook till soft. set a side till rice is cooked. Stir in almonds and veggies into cooked rice mixture.
